She was called to the English Bar by Middle Temple in 1972 and enrolled at the Ghana Bar in 1975. She has a varied experience spanning legal publishing (having worked with ”Butterworths and Co Legal Publishers” on the editorial team of Halsbury’s Laws of England) and Public Procurement. Ms. Amakye has a wealth of experience of international trade, commerce, procurement and of working in the Public Service. She currently chairs the Boards of two investment banking and financial services companies and is a Board Member of a Non GovernmentalOrganisation. Ms. Amakye has facilitated as a Resource Person on numerous Procurement and Negotiations seminars (Including some organised and supported by the World Bank) Ms. Amakye is a trained legislative draftsman. Ms. Amakye is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and of the Ghana Institute of Directors. MrsAmakye was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Ghana in January 2009.
